QUADRAM’S INHABITANTS (1)

HUMANS

I don’t think I need to introduce the normal traits humans have in Quadram, but there are some differences. Humans have 2 genders, men and women. The species is popular for their rapid growth of intelligence and creativity, also the innovative trait they have. They are the most neutral species of all, as they can learn to be a Sorcerer, train to fight like a Knight and use aircrafts to fly like a Dragon. They are also the only species eligible to inherit the spirits of nature, besides being able to inherit the Elements.

KNIGHTS

Knights are beings with superior physical and mental abilities than other species. They have quite ugly features. Although they basically have similar traits as humans, they have canine sharp teeth; their skin is black, grey, or dark brown for males and white, blue or yellow for females; their hair is a shining black or silver; sharp coloured nails; hard skin; pointy ears; and their eyes are in various colours. It is said that whatever scars that the parents have, their offspring will have those scars from birth. (Example: male A has a scar on the head, and female B has a scar at the leg. They mate and they get a child. That child will have the same scar his dad has on the head and that same scar his mom has on his leg). So, just imagine all those scars from the war in the Dark Times on the species now. However, they are very proud to be Knights for their strength and abilities. Because of this, they tend to wear heavy armoury and war helmets to hide their features. They are also able to inherit the Elements, and they are very acquainted to Dragons.

SORCERERS

Sorcerers are a breed with high magical talents and are superior in ancient knowledge. Sorcerers have the ability to do elemental spells, without having to inherit the specific Element. They have similar traits as humans, except that they always look more... wiser. Although other species can become sorcerers, sorcerers cannot change back into their original species because of the Sorcerer’s Ritual; even their next generation will continue being sorcerers and bear the Sorcerer’s Curse. Although they are not popular for being physically strong, it doesn’t mean they aren’t. Some sorcerers may choose the path to become a sorcerer-warrior and hold weapons. If a sorcerer inherited an Element, it is said that its magic on that particular element will be more than 5 times stronger.

DRAGONS

Dragons vary by their place of birth. If it is born near some mountains; it’ll be a wind dragon, if born by a volcano; it’ll be a fire dragon, etc. They’re elements are known that way and every dragon is supposed to have an element. They do not inherit the Elements for obvious reasons. Even though every dragon has an element, it doesn’t mean they can use it as they want because many dragons have weak control over their elements and only few can control it by their will. Dragons are quite close to Knights, and they obey the Ryu-Demon tribe. Not all dragons have wings and not all dragons without wings can’t fly. In addition, there are 2 levels of dragons; the Evolved and the Inexperienced. Inexperienced dragons cannot talk and are practically weaker than the Evolved dragons. When an Inexperienced evolves, it changes shape, become stronger and have the ability to speak, like all Evolved dragons can.

DEMONS

(Before I write anything, it is important to understand that in Quadram, demons are not all that evil and devilish). Demons are a species that are famous for their knack to inherit the Darkness Element. They look exactly like humans, but they smell differently. It is said that if you inhale the scent of a demon –which is attractive- long enough, you can be hypnotized and lose consciousness. And the human look is just an outside form. When they want to fight or do anything, they can change to their true form which makes all their abilities rise sharply. Their true form’s looks varies by their tribe, and there are a lot of demon tribes. The popular ones are the legendary Ryu-demon tribe that can command Dragons, the Akhari demon tribe that have the highest agility and great strength and the notorious Alal tribe that can change into other forms. The tribes usually help each other in daily activities, but if there’s competition, they don’t care about family anymore and try their best to win; even if it’s about life and death.

MIRAQUANS/WATER MEN

Water men or more commonly known as the Miraquans are the people who originally developed and lived in the Kingdom of Miraqua. During the Dark Times, many of them were slaughtered, resulting in only a handful of them still alive. Miraquans have a reputation for inheriting the Water Element for generations. They share the same appearance as humans, but the difference is that if a Miraquan is hit or if it receives impact, it can reduce the force with its skin surface that can create splashes of water to prevent direct hits. The splash can then be used to strengthen it as its abilities rise when it is wet or submerged in water. Or, it can absorb the water back to regain health. It is also said that Miraquans can swim faster than any other species except the Mermaids
